DESCRIPTION:HOWLOWEEN IS HERE!\nAs if 2020 wasn’t scary enough\, we decided to open a second location! That’s right\, right smack dab in the middle of a pandemic. Of course\, we were hoping to have our open house a tad earlier in the year (like May)\, but Covid had something to say about that! \nBut we are now ready to show off our new location\, and what better way to do it\, but with a Howloween Party at the same time! We will have trick-or-treat for dogs & humans\, a tour of the new facility\, and fall photos (to benefit “Mutts & More Matchmakers”). The event is FREE. A $5 donation for the photo is suggested. \nYour photo will be emailed to you\, and will also be used for our on-line costume contest on Facebook. Photos will be posted on Monday\, October 26. The winner will be determined by the number of “likes”. Winner will be notified by email. \nAs always\, proof of vaccinations (rabies\, distemper & bordetella) and a negative fecal exam are required in advance of the party. All pets (and uncontrollable humans) must be on leash. \nIn order to maintain safe social distancing\, when you call to RSVP we will be asking you the approximate time you will be coming in. Thanks for your patience and understanding. We want everyone to have a great time\, but we also want to keep all of our guests safe. \n(Please bear with us – we aren’t quite finished installing everything\, but we are so excited we have to show it off now! So pardon any dust or boxes you may see!!)

SUMMARY:2019 Puppy Parties
DESCRIPTION:In 2019 Walkers Pet HoTail Pet Care Center will hold  a free puppy party every almost every  month for puppies under 2 years old. (In October and December there are special events…!) \nThese parties help puppies socialize and build positive experiences with new friends (both human and K9) helping them learn appropriate ways to behave. \nPuppy playgroups are organized by size – so little pups aren’t overwhelmed by big ones.  All Puppy Parties are supervised by our staff. \nPuppy parties are held “Rain or Shine” – outside in our fenced in play yards or inside if the weather doesn’t cooperate! \nWe encourage everyone\, especially parents of children who are thinking about getting a new puppy\,  to ask questions about what they see.  This will help them learn about the many varieties of dogs as well as the many the responsibilities of helping a puppy grow up to be a good dog. \nPuppy parties are FREE for anyone to attend.  We encourage people to call Walkers (724) 327-PAWS in advance to let us know if you are planning to attend – but an RSVP is not required. \nRequirements:\nALL Puppies:\nVeterinary records are required– so puppies don’t get each other sick:  Rabies\, Distemper Series vaccinations must be current.  The Bordetella (Canine Cough) vaccine must be current and have been given at least 3 days before the party.  Walkers also requires proof of a negative fecal test.  We encourage people to ask their Vet to fax these records to our attention prior to the party to facilitate the check-in process. \nPuppies over 6-Months Old:\nMust be spayed or neutered to attend a Puppy Party. \n
